Due to the way that the Wake on Lan packets are sent from AAConsole and PDQ Inventory I am unable to wake computers on other subnets. So I use a utility called mc-wol.exe to wake computers across subnets without having to change routing on my layer 3 switches. It requires obviously the MAC address and IP of the computer you want to wake however AAConsole and PDQ Inventory don't have a MAC address variable to pass to the external application.

Here is an example of the command I want to be able to use:
mc-wol.exe %TargetMACAddress% /a %TargetIPAddress%
We'll get this added right away. We're also going to fix the WOL so that it works like mc-wol.exe, that is, across subnets.
This is a very good idea. this will help us to.
The next beta of PDQ Inventory (beta 16) has added %TargetMACAddress%.
Not only has this feature been added but PDQ Inventory now uses directed broadcasts for WOL. Give it a try and see if it works for you.
The new directed broadcast WOL function worked perfectly. Thank you for you adding this, it's a big deal for me!
"Requires that the computers have been scanned and their MAC address is known." <<< Why does this have to be that way? I know the MAC-addresses of my PCs so it'd be nice to wake them to get them inventarized.
We've got a feature in the works to allow you to manually set the MAC address so that it doesn't need to be scanned first.
