What does it mean when I get the error "The application failed to initialize properly"?

Problem: You try to start PDQ Deploy or Remote Admin Repair and you get an error window that looks like this:

This usually means that you don't have the Microsoft .NET framework installed on the computer. 

The solution is to install .NET Framework 3.5 (or higher.) It can be found on Microsoft's web site.
