I just tried to deploy a 64 bit app from my AA console (running on XP 32
bit) to Vista 64 machines. It failed to deploy. Is this a problem
because of 32 bit console trying to push to 64 bit? Could this just be
AA not working with Vista?
I didn't bother to move my console to a Vista machine to see if that
would make it work. I only have 5-64 bit Vistas, and I simply did an
RDP session to each machine and ran the install, but I am curious for
the future...
For that matter, does AA run well on Windows 7?

What errors did you see? I regularly push 64bit patches from an XP 32bit console.
Yes, AA runs well on Windows 7. There were some initial hiccups but they have been resolved.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this topic. I used to see your replies via email, but I guess you updated the whole backend support system, and I now have to do this online.
I didn't see any errors. The install seemed to start, but then watching the processes on the remote system (via AA) it just hung there with not apparent activity.
Anyway, we just ordered a bunch of Windows 7 systems. I will likely take one for some preliminary compatibility testing. At that time, I can run AA from 7 and see if it makes a difference. Consider this issue closed for now.
